As bittersweet as it is that Crab Orchard Review has released their final print issue, I’m grateful that the literary journal will still be published online. They’ve also made their entire archives available on the internet. Check it out! And look for yours truly in Volume 22, the final print double issue, in Weather Reports: All About the Weather with my poem “Map Making for Ex-Missionaries” (on page 316 no less–coincidence?!?).
There’s nothing like cracking open a box of books hot off the press! Let me know if you’d like to order a copy.
My forthcoming book POSTCARDS FROM THE DEAD LETTER OFFICE officially has a cover. This is my debut poetry collection coming out early next year from Burlesque Press.
The cover image was hand-drawn by artist Andrea Tan.
It’s been a long time coming, but I can finally say my debut poetry collection, POSTCARDS FROM THE DEAD LETTER OFFICE, is forthcoming next year from Burlesque Press.
My thanks to the Tanka Society of America for awarding one of my tanka an honorable mention in the Sanford Goldstein International Tanka Contest. Congrats to all the winners!
My poem “Fables from the Petrified Forest” has been awarded the 2014 Beullah Rose Poetry Prize by Smartish Pace. Thank you to the editors for selecting my poem!
Unsplendid has published my poem “Salt Myth” in their Women and Form issue, and you can even hear me read it aloud on their site. This poem is a progressive sestina in which the end words evolve from stanza to stanza much as they would in a game of telephone.
I have 2 poems set in Arizona in the “Prairies, Plains, Mountains, Deserts” special edition of Crab Orchard Review (vol 18, no.2).
