It’s been a long time coming, but I can finally say my debut poetry collection, POSTCARDS FROM THE DEAD LETTER OFFICE, is forthcoming next year from Burlesque Press.
My thanks to the Tanka Society of America for awarding one of my tanka an honorable mention in the Sanford Goldstein International Tanka Contest. Congrats to all the winners!
Unsplendid has published my poem “Salt Myth” in their Women and Form issue, and you can even hear me read it aloud on their site. This poem is a progressive sestina in which the end words evolve from stanza to stanza much as they would in a game of telephone.
I have several tanka in issue 13 of Atlas Poetica, most of which are set in Italy.
Once upon a time a dozen Chinese grannies tried to marry me off, and stuffed me full of delicious Chinese candies called white rabbits, and I wrote a poem about it starring the rabbit in the moon, and Silk Road Review–one of my favorite venues for poetry of place–published it in issue 6.2 of their amazing literary journal.
