As bittersweet as it is that Crab Orchard Review has released their final print issue, I’m grateful that the literary journal will still be published online. They’ve also made their entire archives available on the internet. Check it out! And look for yours truly in Volume 22, the final print double issue, in Weather Reports: All About the Weather with my poem “Map Making for Ex-Missionaries” (on page 316 no less–coincidence?!?).
My thanks to the Tanka Society of America for awarding one of my tanka an honorable mention in the Sanford Goldstein International Tanka Contest. Congrats to all the winners!
I discussed poetry that bears witness, gendercide, and Gu Cheng with Emily Van Vleet over at Silk Road Review in a very short interview. Thanks for featuring me as a Showcased Writer!
Once upon a time a dozen Chinese grannies tried to marry me off, and stuffed me full of delicious Chinese candies called white rabbits, and I wrote a poem about it starring the rabbit in the moon, and Silk Road Review–one of my favorite venues for poetry of place–published it in issue 6.2 of their amazing literary journal.
